Book Tracker - Bullet Journal Layout & Page Ideas
Ever since falling in love with reading last summer, I have been wanting a manageable way to keep track of the books I read and my progress. So for 2023, I decided to make my own bullet journal as a way I can look back and see my growth through reading.
I love bullet journals because they are so customizable. When creating one, you can choose your layout, colors, titles, and embellishments. Pinterest is my go to place for inspiration on different page layouts. After looking through many different ideas, I have combined my favorites into my very own 2023 reading bullet journal. These journals make tracking things so much more enjoyable and fun!
2023 Bookshelf Page

I love this idea of having a bookshelf hold all your 2023 reads. The plan for this page is to write the title of each book I read and color in the book based on my rating of it. I am so excited to see how this looks when it is fully filled out!
Book Goal Tracker Page

My book goal for 2023 is to finish 55 book... hopefully more! No matter if you're just starting to get into reading or have been a consistent reader, setting a manageable goal is a good way to push yourself and you can increase this goal every year if you want to.
Daily Reading Tracker Page

I saw so many different ideas on how to track every day of the year that you read but landed on this brick inspired design. There are 365 spaces to fill out and I color coordinated each month to keep track of the days I read in that time frame. You could also add dates to make it easier to fill out, I might do that because right now I am just counting from the start which isn't the easiest way to go about it, but again bullet journals are easy to add more to and change up as you go along.
Best Book of the Year Page

These pages are a bracket layout to find the best book of 2023. My plan for this page is once the month is over, and I have my favorite book from then, I will print out a picture of the cover and glue that to the outlined rectangle as well as write the title on the correlating line on the second page. And from there, it is just like a normal bracket and completely up to me what book comes out on top!
Alphabet Challenge Page

I thought this alphabet challenge was a fun way to choose books I may not have typically gone for. The goal is to read a book that starts with each letter of the alphabet and write the title down on this page.
Genre Tracker Page

One of my reading goals this year is to try out more genres. I typically sway towards thrillers and romance, but want to branch out into others, so this page is dedicated to inspire me to get at least one tally in each genre.
Book Club Picks Page

I have a book club with some friends where we meet every month to discuss that months book pick, so this page is dedicated to that. I wanted to track each choice along with who picked it, genre, and page count. I also included a little summary of that book so I can look back if I forget what one was about. January's pick was Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid.
Monthly Wrap Up Pages

I wanted to include a separate page for each month to keep track of how many books I read, the total pf pages, how many different genres, and a wrap up of my rating I gave. The long rectangle at top will be filled with small pictures of the book covers read that month, and the bottom rectangle with my favorite book that month. I kept the same layout for each month (pictured below) alternating colors to have a cohesive look overall.
TBR Page(s)

The last page I made for this journal is my TBR (to be read) list. As of right now, it is just one page long, but I do plan on adding more as the year goes on. For this list I have a place for the book title, author, and a section to check off when I do read that book. I prefer having my TBR in a list like this rather than random screenshots on my phone so I can see them all easily and write one down before I forget.
I had so much fun making this reading bullet journal and am so excited to fill it out and see how many books I read in 2023!
