My Past Halloween Costumes
Happy Halloween! I have been loving seeing everyone's costumes this year and even their recaps of previous years' costumes. So I wanted to also share my past Halloween costumes for some inspiration for your next Halloween. Many of my costumes are pretty last minute and easy enough to do yourself!
Halloween 2022 - Yzma & Kronk
This year I went to a friend's Halloween party that was themed 'Monsters and Villains'. Many showed up in scary, creative, and funny costumes. For me, my mind went straight to Disney villains as I am not into horror movies at all. My boyfriend and I decided to dress as Yzma and Kronk from The Emperor's New Groove. His whole costume was from Amazon, and mine I made a few of the pieces (hat and feathers) from different pieces I found off of Amazon as well. I didn't have a long black dress or black heels, but I'm sure many people would have something to work for those pieces in their closet already. We even went the extra mile and added the llama extract and poison from the movie that I got from a thrift store. This was a super fun costume and it won me 3rd place in the costume contest!
Halloween 2021 - Space Cowboys
This costume was super easy to create. The only thing I had to buy was a cowboy hat. I do enjoy Country music and so I already had cowboy boots, but heeled boots would work as well, one of my friends who didn't have cowboy boots did that and it looked great. Incorporating sparkles and glitter in your outfit ties in the 'space' aspect and makes it even more fun. This is a great solo or group costume!
Halloween 2020 - Aliens
Most of this costume were pieces from Amazon I paired together. Adding glitter in my makeup and hair along with the braided space buns added a lot to the costume. I always think a great way to elevate any Halloween look is to add some fun makeup. It's Halloween so have fun with your looks and don't hold back, never enough sparkles!
Halloween 2019 - Hippies
Another super easy costume. For this I wore an oversized tie-dye t-shirt as a dress. I made the flower headband by gluing flowers to a headband, pretty self explanatory and simple. Pair with some fun colored glasses as well!
When it comes to Halloween, costumes are so much fun and I personally enjoy creating as much of them as I can on my own, or trying to go a cheap and easy route, especially if it's something you're only going to wear for the one night. I hope you enjoyed some of my past Halloween costumes and try them out for yourself!
